My GP is free - why pay for a test?

Keep seeing your GP - CHIRAYOU complements that visit, it doesn't replace it. The free statutory health check ("Check-up 35") only covers a basic lipid profile and fasting glucose in its blood work, and from age 35 you're entitled to it just once every three years. 9 of the 10 values we measure aren't part of it - for example ApoB, hsCRP, vitamin D, and vitamin B12. CHIRAYOU measures more broadly, whenever you want and at home, and gives you a plain-language report you can take to your doctor.

Do I need a subscription?

No. The baseline blood test is €99 one-time and does not require a subscription.

What happens if a result is abnormal?

First: a single out-of-range value is not a diagnosis and not a verdict on your health - it's a starting point, and you're not left alone with it. Your report explains the result in calm, clear language, puts it in context, and tells you whether and when a doctor's visit makes sense. CHIRAYOU does not make a diagnosis and does not replace a clinical examination or treatment - but it helps you understand what the value means and what a sensible next step could be.

Is CHIRAYOU a replacement for my doctor?

No - and it isn't meant to be. CHIRAYOU helps you calmly understand selected biomarkers and recognise when a doctor's visit may be useful. It is not for emergencies or diagnosis: your report puts each value in context and tells you whether and when a conversation with your doctor makes sense. For acute symptoms, please contact a practice or emergency services directly - your regular check-up with your GP stays important.

Can I take the test as a self-payer?

Yes. The baseline blood test is €99 one-time — you pay yourself, with no subscription. German statutory insurance generally does not cover these values for healthy adults. Only your insurer can give a binding answer on reimbursement.
